In a small saucepan, over medium heat, combine all of the ingredients and whisk together.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then quickly lower the heat to a simmer over medium-low. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the syrup thickens. The syrup will thicken as it cools.
Allow it to cool, then store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated.
