Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon
  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling water
  • 1/3 cup sugar or monkfruit sweetener
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  • Prepare fresh fruit - cut into small watermelon cubes.
  • Blend: Place the sweet watermelon, cool water, sugar, or your preferred sweetener, and lime juice in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and no chunks remain.
  • Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother drink or used a seeded watermelon, pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove the pulp and seeds. Use a spoon to press the juice through the strainer.
  • Chill: Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  • Garnish & Serve: Garnish with fresh mint leaves or lime wedges, if desired. Serve over ice cubes in a tall glass.

Notes

Nutritional Information is only an estimate. The accuracy of this recipe may differ depending on the ingredients you use.
Tips - You can easily adjust the sweetness, tanginess, or consistency of this Mexican agua fresca. If you prefer a sweeter drink, simply add a little sugar or sugar-free monkfruit sweetener to taste. For extra tanginess, increase the amount of lime juice. If the agua fresca is too thick, you can thin it by adding more cold water until you reach your desired consistency.
