Spicy Cashew Cheese Sauce

A dairy-free cheese sauce that is spicy and perfect for all your Mexican inspired meals! Its simple to make and will last up to a week in the refrigerator, so you can have healthy nachos any time you want!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw, unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8-1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder or 1/2 of a chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1/8 tsp turmeric

Instructions

  • Place cashews in a medium bowl and cover completely with hot water. Soak the cashews for at least 1 hour. Drain off liquid.
  • Place the cashews and the rest of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
