Ingredients

  • 2 cans artichoke hearts drained and dried
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

  • 3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • Prep the Artichokes: Drain and place artichokes on a clean kitchen towel or paper towel and remove moisture.

  • Make the Batter: In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and water until smooth.

  • Make Bread Crumb Coating: In a shallow dish, mix together Panko bread crumbs and seasonings.

  • Coat the Artichokes: Dip each artichoke heart into the flour batter, letting the excess drip off, then roll it in bread crumb mixture until evenly coated.

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
  • Air Fry: Place the coated artichokes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with olive oil. Air fry for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness. Adjust the cooking time depending on the size of the artichokes.
