Before I lost 125 pounds, I had a negative body image and negative beliefs about whether I could ever lose weight. I remember all too well thinking I would probably need a motorized scooter before the age of thirty. 

Once I changed my negative self-talk and started a daily routine of regular exercise, eating nutritious food, and using positive statements about my health I started seeing a positive effect on my health and weight loss efforts. 

I am not saying positive affirmations will cause you to lose weight. I am saying that they can be a first step in helping you make healthy food choices and a powerful tool in motivating you to reach your fitness goals.
