Step 3: Strain and Add Ice

  • Once your base is well-mixed, use a fine mesh strainer to filter out any solid pieces of fruit or powder. Pour the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice cubes to keep your refresher cool and delicious.

Step 4: Add Fresh Strawberries or Coconut Milk

  • To make your homemade strawberry acai refresher even more refreshing, add a few fresh strawberry pieces or strawberry puree for extra flavor. If you like a creamier version, you can also add a little coconut milk to give your drink that iconic pink drink feel.

  • Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar, or try alternative sweeteners like stevia, allulose, or agave syrup.
  • For the Best Flavor: Ripe and fresh strawberries or freeze-dried strawberries will give you the most vibrant strawberry flavor. Acai berry powder can be found at most health food stores or online, adding that unique acai flavor that sets this drink apart.

Variations of the Strawberry Acai Refresher

This recipe is highly versatile! You can experiment with the base recipe by adding:

  • Passionfruit juice for a tropical twist
  • Strawberry lemonade flavor by using lemon zest and a little more lemon juice
  • A dash of coconut water for a hydration boost
  • Additional real strawberries for more vibrant, fresh fruit flavor

How to Store a Strawberry Acai Refresher

If you want to make a pitcher of this delicious fruity drink you can store it and keep it fresh by pouring it into an airtight container or mason jar and refrigerate for up to two days.

Before serving, give it a good shake or stir because the ingredients may settle.

For longer storage, you can freeze the refresher in ice cube trays and blend the cubes for a slushy when you’re ready to enjoy it.

To maintain the best flavor and freshness, avoid storing it with ice, because it will dilute the drink as it melts. Using fresh fruit and acai powder will help the flavor last longer, and adding a splash of lemon juice can help preserve the color and taste.

This copycat Starbucks strawberry acai refresher is the perfect way to enjoy a popular drink from the comfort of your own home. With simple ingredients, easy steps, and the ability to adjust to your personal tastes, you’ll have a delicious drink that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re sipping on it during a hot summer day or enjoying it as a refreshing afternoon treat, this is one of the best homemade Starbucks refreshers that will soon become one of your favorite drinks.
