Typically when you order Spinach Artichoke Dip at a restaurant you are ordering around 1500 whopping calories! Not to mention all of the fat and cholesterol.  Some healthier recipes call for beans or simply low fat cream cheese, but not this one.

I’ve been making this Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip for so many years I can’t even remember the first time I baked it. I do know that each time I serve it, it is devoured. It’s a definite crowd pleaser!

 

Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip Ingredients

This dip does call for a couple of unique ingredients, but I know you will enjoy egg free mayonnaise once you try it. It is just as tasty (if not tastier) than regular mayo, but saves you around 6 mg of cholesterol per tablespoon. As for nutritional yeast, you can find it in most healthy sections in grocery stores. It has a strong flavor that is cheesy and makes a great cheese substitute. It provides nutrition while saving calories. It is a complete protein and contains B vitamins, niacin, selenium and zinc, just to name a few. It’s also GREAT on popcorn!

Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup egg free mayonnaise I use Follow Your Heart Vegenaise
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 5 oz frozen spinach
  • 14 oz artichokes, canned
  • 1 tsp garlic

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 

    2. Drain and chop artichokes into bite-sized pieces. Place artichokes into an oven-safe baking dish. 

    3. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until well combined. 

    4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until dip is heated throughout. Serve while warm.
