  • Prep the Tomatoes: Wash the tomatoes, slice them thin (about 1/4 inch thick), and remove the seeds for faster drying.
  • Set Up Your Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to the lowest temperature setting, usually around 120ยฐF to 150ยฐF (or as low as you can go).
  • Arrange the Slices: Lay the tomato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket or tray. Make sure they aren’t overlapping to allow even drying.
  • Drying Process: Air fry the tomatoes for 2-4 hours, checking every hour. Flip the slices halfway through the drying time to ensure even drying.
  • Make Tomato Powder: Once the tomatoes are fully dried (crispy, not pliable), remove them from the air fryer. Use a clean coffee grinder, spice grinder, or food processor to grind the dehydrated tomatoes into powder.
